On February 2nd this year, KidsRights and The KidsRights Youngsters Chaeli and Kehkashan participated in the 16th World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Bogotá, Colombia. The  KidsRights Foundation organized workshops for young changemakers from all around the globe, to inspire and stimulate them to connect and showcase their projects. Through group discussions, youth participants jointly unraveled the barriers young people face to contribute to peace. They also put forward their best practices, solutions and recommendations for positive change.

The input of the young participants is now  finalized in a report: ‘YOU MOVE THE WORLD! A youth exchange on solutions for Peace and Development’. It highlights some very important solutions and recommendations to overcome three key barriers of contributing to peace and development: age-based discrimination, funding and participation. What makes this report unique, is that it provides the reflections of young changemakers on their own role in how to overcome these barriers.
