Let’s show the world that we are capable, that we are fighters and defenders of our rights. We can move the world, but in order to do so we first need to know our rights, to be one voice.

Anifer's story

Anifer, 16, lives in the Dominican Republic and is seen as a leader in her community. She speaks out on behalf of children and teenagers, and is mayor of the Infant Municipality. She represents children in her local Directorate of Child Protection and students in the district municipality. She is a “young multiplicator” of the Ministry of Women and Sexual and Reproductive Health, that has, to date, trained 873 children and young people on the subject. She also brought a proposal to the National Student Forum entitled ‘A Culture of Peace’, which has now been carried out at national level.
