Shadrack's story

Shadrack, 17, is from Kenya. Upset to see children losing their way in life, he was motivated to campaign for children’s rights, especially regarding education and female genital mutilation (FGM). As County Deputy President of World Vision and chairman of the students at his high school, he raises awareness among school dropouts about the importance of education. Many of the children he speaks to change their minds and embrace their education. He also highlights the dangers of FGM through community gatherings and youth camps. Shadrack teaches children life skills, and encourages them to help community elders.
