Tuly's story

Tuly, 15, grew up as an orphan. Despite her rough start in life, she encourages, motivates and engages the children in her community to make the future a better place. Tuly has facilitated meetings with parents, teachers and leaders to engage children in programs. She has organized meetings with local stakeholders and leaders on children’s rights. She participated in the Nandail Ghasful Child Forum and was presented with an award by a Minister of Parliament for her excellent leadership in stopping child marriages: she has stopped 26 so far. Her plans for the future are to reduce discrimination among boys and girls and to create opportunities for children to demonstrate their talents and skills.
