Korok is a boy with down syndrome which has always tried to overcome his disability. He was awarded the highest Indian National Child Award 2020 by the prime minister and president of India; he is the first ever down syndrome affected child to ever achieve this award. Korok’s actions have already become a message to all the other parents/caregivers of the special children in India and Bangladesh, including from his special school. Korok is an icon for the Down Syndrome Federation in India. The International Dance Council (CID) under UNESCO has acknowledged Korok as their registered dance performer. In the future, Korok wants to abolish every negative mentality of the so-called ‘normal persons’ about this entire special/disabled world through dance and music empowerment.
